Pros

•100% wireless — a solar panel and 5000 mAh battery remove both the power cable and the socket
•2K 360° pan-and-tilt head with auto-tracking follows a person across the whole yard
•PIR motion plus AI human detection cut false alerts from pets and passing cars

Cons

•Local recording needs a microSD card, which the base kit does not include
•Two-way talk and the siren are useful but the speaker is not built for long conversations
•Picture quality at the mount point depends on solid Wi-Fi coverage

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Imou Cell PT need a power cable?

No. It runs on a rechargeable 5000 mAh battery and ships with a solar panel, so you can mount it where there is no socket.

Can it record without a subscription?

Yes. It records to a microSD card and includes a free 30-day cloud plan (IMOU Protect); a paid plan only adds longer history and extra AI detection.

Which Cell PT variant should I buy?

The 3MP 2K solar kit is the value pick. Choose the 5MP 3K kit for sharper detail, or the 4G LTE model where there is no Wi-Fi.
